Browne Jacobson’s corporate dealmakers have advised one of the UK’s leading fertility and IVF clinics, CARE Fertility (CARE) on its acquisition of Genesis Health Care LLP (trading as Leeds Fertility) for a confidential consideration.
This bolt on acquisition by CARE, who are currently backed by Private Equity (PE) firm Silverfleet Capital, follows on from the group’s agreed sale to Caramel Bidco Limited (a corporate spin-off backed by PE firm Nordic Capital).
Operating since 1997, CARE Fertility is the largest independent provider of fertility services in the UK and a global leader in the treatment of infertility, genetic diagnosis and screening techniques and associated fertility preservation procedures. It operates clinics and satellite facilities in 19 UK locations.
Leeds Fertility whose client base extends across the breadth of the North East of England is one of the largest and most comprehensive fertility services in the UK.
The deal was led by Nottingham based Browne Jacobson senior associate Victoria Hustler with support from partners Gavin Cummings and Paul McCannah and senior associate Sandra Wong.
David Burford, Chief Executive of CARE Fertility commented: “As always, the Browne Jacobson team have fully supported us with this exciting move and have ensured we have felt in safe hands throughout.
“Our business is currently going through an exciting transformation as we change ownership from Silverfleet to Nordic, which the Browne Jacobson team have advised us on, so they are very aware of our future growth aspirations and the importance of bringing Leeds Fertility seamlessly into the CARE group.”
Victoria Hustler added: “We are pleased to have supported CARE in this latest strategic acquisition and look forward to watching them continue with their growth plans under new ownership.”
